Irina was the wife of Orion Foundation's former chairman Valentin Girikanan, who died 8 years before the events of Inazuma Eleven Orion no Kokuin.
She keeps Bernard from being charged and punished in the same way, as she realizes that she has been manipulating him the whole time. However, as she is being arrested, she does show her soft side as a mother. She was also cruel before she controlled the Orion Foundation, abusing her son Bernard both physically and emotionally.
She has proven to be a sadistic person due to her actions in which she submitted the entire Italy team to use supporters that took their bodies to the limit in order to destroy Inazuma Japan. Irina is a cruel person who doesn't care about the methods she uses to reach her goals. She wears blue pears earrings and a pearl collar necklace. She usually wears a long light purple dress and a light blue shrug on top of it. Her hair, overall, is short, with two long curls on each side of her face. According to him, the more Orion is powerful, the more they are able to save children through soccer.Irina is an adult woman with periwinkle eyes and hair. Inamori Masato, when explaining to his child why he is part of the foundation in episode 29, explained that Orion helps poor countries to develop soccer and help to raise poor children players, hence saving them from misery. They are heavily tied to the World Soccer Organisation, as numerous members are part of both organizations (Bernard and Shinjou, at least). For most of the people, they are an organization that helps to promote and supporting football around the world, as explained by Shinjou in episode 20. The foundation is powerful enough to escape the police's investigations for the moment.Īs a public organization, Orion can't obviously show that side to the public. They can even also challenge representative teams that are not supporting Orion's side in order to replace them with a team that supports Orion. They can achieve that either with the Disciples of Orion on the pitch that will eliminate the players who can change what the foundation has expected for the match, either with the cooperation of corrupted referees who doesn't whistle to rough plays, or either with the anti-doping personnel who will seek doping products in the bags of certain players without any comprehension or dialog. Their aim is to regulate football in the shadows and try to generate more profits by fixing the results. Zhao Jinyun explains their objective in episode 10.
