Hmmm.the more I think about it, I might do quite well with Reason + SAC in live use.
Well.be that as it may.I might as well consider myself blessed, since Reason does what I need right in SAC and SAWStudio, thanks to Energy XT Rewire. I guess XT Rewire functions as the "host" (Reason being the slave application) within SAC or SS. Next, I'll try "XT Rewiring" ACID Pro to SAC and SS. Then, if I get that to work, I'll try accessing Reason Rewired to ACID Pro.in SAC and SS! :eek: What does Propellerhead know? I mean, hey, they only wrote the app.they never tried it the way I did. UPDATE: I was able to "XT Rewire" ACID Pro to SAC and SS successfully. Although nothing will playback from ACID's timeline (same as in Reason), I am, in fact, able to audition loops and samples.a big plus, since I no longer have to exit SAC or SS to do this. Also, I can load and play soft synths in ACID Pro the audio is piped into SAC or SS. This will be a plus should I need a plugin that's available in ACID but not in SAC or SS. However, I was unable to Rewire Reason to ACID Pro while "XT Rewired" to SAC or SS. i've tried it before and it works but its not my thing.I sort of expected this, even as I typed above, since Reason must be run externally prior to being Rewired to ACID.this can't happen while SAC (and SACLinked SS) has control of the ASIO devices. just set the loop (bars) in the mpc software and start playing in real time while you have hit record in reason. you can do this, but you probably don't want to. there is no way to stop it so i don't know if it is a bug or not. when i had it rewired in reason 5 which is a long time ago it didn't do that. I will say, this is a issue all of a sudden. And chance there is a work around or a fix for this, I would greatly appreciate it. MPC software, you cannot do vocals so if I wanted to do a remix it just constantly runs non-stop. I can still do what I need to do in my MPC Software, but it pretty much makes my Reason sequencer useless. Weather the MPC software if stopped or not. But when I go back to my reason page the counter or control marker just keeps constantly looping/running. When I hook the ReWire VST to my MPC software, it does everything it is suppose to do, from what I can tell. I have one issue or bug as you may call it.
