You may as well keep the backup of your real game in the named folder on your desktop, and put it in a safe place, since it is already named and dated. You can throw the factory reset game away when you are done with it, and then slide a copy of your real game back into Electronic Arts. You then install whatever you are testing in that game. A new The Sims 3 folder will be created inside Electronic Arts inside Documents. So, DO NOT install them into your real game UNLESS you test them first in a factory reset game and they prove themselves to be harmless once in the game.įactory reset games are made by sliding your real game onto your desktop (where you put it into a folder named "My Real Game 2-17/14") and then opening your Launcher.
